Tampermonkey Disaster: Your Extensions Are GONE! 's Why
Close the web browser application and make sure it's not still running. Unfortunately there is nothing an extension can do when the browser profile gets corrupted and/or the extension storage is reset by the browser. In order to show native userscripts at the options page tampermonkey's permissions have changed to include the management permission. Chrome automatically disables extensions. I accidentally moved a file into tampermonkey's folder inside of %localappdata%\google\chrome\user data\profile 4\local extension settings.
Microsoft has not blocked tampermonkey. We also use tampermonkey to complete some work. According to my own experience, there are no problems with the scripts. If tm has stopped working, you might need to enable developer mode in chrome's extension. Tm has said this a few times when they published an update. Recently my chrome glitched and tampermonkey just stopped working. I uninstalled and then reinstalled extension (with hope that scripts stay in place), but my scripts.
